Replacing Your Hot Tub Cover

Hot tub covers generally have a life span of about 5 years.  Of course there are many factors that can expedite that time frame, such as where the tub is placed and how much UV radiation affects it, if any falling debris hits it, etc.

When your hot tub cover starts to become heavy, you know its time to replace it.  The weight is due to the foam core becoming waterlogged over the years.  Another sign its at the end of its life, is if the underside looks really bleached out.

One way to prolong the life of it, is to make sure you are leaving the cover off after shocking your tub for at least an hour, if not two!  When adding any chemicals to your tub, its a good idea to leave the cover off for a bit, but is especially important during shocking and if you use chlorine products!

If its that time that you need to replace your cover... fear not!  All of our covers are all 100% Canadian made and built to withstand our Canadian climate.  The most important thing you can do when measuring for your custom cover, is to measure it correctly.

Make sure to read our Measurement Guide to help you with the process.
