    How to use Nature2

    While every hot tub has its own characteristics of water type, amount of sunlight, etc. the recipe included will help ensure good water quality in your hot tub.  Please contact us if you have questions.  thanks

    Attention: Nature2 is not to be used with product containing bromine, sodium bromine, or biguanides.  If these products are being used, be sure to drain and refill the hot tub with fresh water.

    Start-Up

    1. Drain and refill the hot tub with fresh water
    2. Balance the spa water
      1. Total Alkalinity: 80 - 120 ppm
      2. pH: 7.2 - 7.6
      3. Calcium Hardness: 200 - 400 ppm
      4. Total Dissolved Solids: 300 - 2000 ppm
    3. Install the Nature2 into the hot tub. Refer to Assembly and Installation diagrams provided with the Nature2 Mineral Stick
    4. Superoxidize the hot tub water with dichlor (SpaBoss Chlor Aid) according to manufacturer's instructions to burn off contaminants and activate cartridge.
      1. Add 1.5 tablespoons of SpaBoss Chlor Aid to hot tub per 250 gallons (approx. 1000 liters).  1.5 tablespoons is approximately 3/4 oz or 24 grams
      2. Test the water using Test strips. Do not enter hot tub if the Chlorine reading is over 5 ppm

    Before Each Use
    Test the water using a test strip.  If Chlorine level is low, add 1 tablespoon of Dichlor to bring chlorine level between 3 and 5 ppm.

    After Each Use
    Add 1 tablespoon of Non-chlorine Shock (SpaBoss Spa Shock) per 250 gallons

    Once a week

    1. Test Alkalinity - should be between 80 and 120 ppm
      • If Alkalinity is low, use SpaBoss Alka Rise to raise the alkalinity level
      • If Alkalinity is high, use SpaBoss pH Reducer to lower the alkalinity level
    2. Test pH - should be between 7.2 and 7.6
      • If pH is low, use SpaBoss pH Booster to raise the pH level
      • If pH is low, use SpaBoss pH Reducer to lower the pH level
    3. Test for calcium hardness. It should be between 200 and 300 ppm
      • if calcium hardness is low, use SpaBoss Cal Rise to raise the level
    4. Add a 2 oz of Prevent II per 500 gallons (a capful should be about the right amount)

    Every 4 months
    Drain and refill you hot tub. Replace the Nature2 and repeat start-up process
